I am a Ph.D. Candidate in the Media, Technology and Society program, part of the School of Communication at Northwestern University. I study new media and political communication with a focus on selective exposure. I have experience in qualitative (interviewing, participant observation) and quantitative research (surveys, text analysis, network analysis, basic statistics) with a focus on joining these approaches to answer research questions.
My dissertation is an in-depth analysis of how and why news consumers filter media content and the role of digital technologies in the information selection process.
