I am a Ph.D. Candidate in the Media, Technology and Society program, part of the School of Communication at Northwestern University. I study new media’s impact on selective exposure to political communication using multiple research methods. For my dissertation I collected real-world web data, surveys, and in-person interviews from the same participants.
My dissertation is an in-depth analysis of how and why news consumers filter media content and the role of digital technologies in the information selection process. See research for an overview of my past and present work. See roxyproxy.org to find out more about the software I developed to collect data for my dissertation.
