Anonymity in Blogging
Lilia thought this slide from my presentation of this paper was somewhat interesting so I thought I’d post it. It’s a quick illustration of “negotiating anonymity.” In other words, there is no simple distinction between anonymous and non-anonymous blogs.

It also shows you don’t often ‘get what you came for’ in research. My focus was on motivation – which was fine and tended to reinforce the conclusions of other qualitative studies, but the stuff on anonymity turned out to be a bit more novel and in some ways more interesting.
